Guardian of the Seas - Mui Ne, Vietnam.
Beyond its famous sand dunes and beaches, Mui Ne has long been home to a fishing community whose beliefs predate the arrival of Buddhism.
Central to their traditions is the worship of whales, revered as guardians who protect fishermen from storms and rough seas. To this day, the local community continues to honour these sacred creatures through annual festivals – a living expression of a relationship between people, the sea and the unseen.
