The Chouara Tannery in Fes, Morocco, is the oldest and largest working tannery in the world. Founded in the 11th century, it continues to produce leather by hand, using techniques and natural dyes that have remained largely unchanged for centuries. In a world defined by constant acceleration, the tannery stands as a rare testament to the endurance of craft and tradition.
